On the 9th of November 2022, Partner Dr. Ian J. Stafrace participated in the Practitioners’ Round Table during the “Annual Company Law Conference 2022: Recent Developments, Insolvency Issues and Reforms”, organized by the Chamber of Advocates’ Malta Law Academy. The Conference was held at the Aula Magna Hall at the University Valletta Campus.
The Conference covered a wide array of company law topics with a particular focus on company insolvency issues, practical difficulties encountered and proposals for reforms. The focus for this year was spurred by the new set of reforms tabled in Parliament introducing the Pre-Insolvency Act and the Insolvency Practitioners Act. From a practitioner’s perspective, Dr. Ian J. Stafrace gave his insight on the implications which the implementation of these Acts could have on the Laws of Malta.
