Saliba Stafrace Legal is a law firm operating from Valletta, the Capital City of Malta. The firm was founded in 2013 under the name ‘Ian Stafrace Legal’ by Dr. Ian J. Stafrace. Over the past two years, Ian Stafrace Legal, has established itself not only as a firm that advises clients on legal matters, but more importantly as providing clients with service solutions that earn results.

In a strategic move to grow its service portfolio and continue to offer its clients effective solutions, Dr. Ian Stafrace has in 2015 partnered with Dr. Joseph Saliba, a lawyer with extensive experience in corporate and financial services law.

Ian Stafrace, is a Maltese Lawyer who has been admitted to the Maltese Bar in 1998. He has worked for Exco Services Limited (an affiliated company of Deloitte) handling assignments relating to corporate matters, mergers and divisions and company restructuring. He then became a partner at Abela Stafrace and Associates, a law firm specialising in Civil and Administrative Law matters. He then served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority, the Maltese Agency regulating environment protection and development planning until April 2013. In May 2013, he returned to his profession and set up the firm Ian Stafrace Legal.

Joseph Saliba, became a lawyer and was admitted to the Maltese Bar in the same year as Ian. Joseph has started his professional career with MamoTCV Advocates in 1997, from the junior ranks up to partnership in 2008 and has throughout the years been involved mainly in corporate law, privatizations and property development and shipping law. In 2007, he set up the Financial Services Department of MamoTCV Advocates, which he headed until his departure from then firm in 2015. During his time, his areas of specialisation were financial services legislation and regulation, securities law and corporate law. After 18 successful years at MamoTCV, Joseph left the firm to join forces with Ian, for them to set up the firm, Saliba Stafrace Legal.

Valentina Lattughi graduated as a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) from the University of Malta in 2011 after having submitted the doctoral thesis entitled ‘The Adequacy of the Right to Legal Advice as Put into Practice’. She graduated in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree with European Studies in 2009 and obtained a Diploma of Notary Public in 2010. She was admitted to the Bar in 2012 and since then has practised litigation in the Courts of Malta and Gozo specialising in Family Law, Criminal Law and Civil Law. On the 15th of November 2013 she was appointed on the Producer Organisations Board by the Minister for Sustainable Development, Environment and Climate Change.
